ACCOUNT OFFICER
Job Summary:
As an Account Officer in TAT Agency Limited, you will be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of the travel agency. The role involves timely confirmation and processing of payments, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, monitoring receivables and payables and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements. The Account Officer will support the agency's financial operations and contribute to effective financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions including client payments, vendor invoices and staff reimbursements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and accounting records.
- Reconcile bank statements, company accounts, and client balances regularly.
- Track receivables and follow up on outstanding payments from clients and vendors.
- Process payments for flight and other service providers.
- Monitor and report on cash flow, daily sales, and expenditure.
- Ensure all transactions comply with accounting principles and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Visa, Flight, Vacation, HR) to ensure accurate financial data.
- Handle petty cash and maintain proper documentation of disbursements.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Provide timely reports to management on financial performance and variances.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
- Support payroll processing and salary administration.
- Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pension contributions and other statutory deductions.
- Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision.
- Integrity, confidentiality, and high ethical standards.
Salary: N150,000
