IT SUPPORT OFFICER

Job Summary:
As an IT Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance, maintaining IT systems and ensuring smooth operation of all hardware, software and network tools within the travel agency. The role ensures uninterrupted workflow for staff, quick resolution of technical issues and reliable operation of travel-related platforms, booking systems and communication tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level and second-level support to staff on hardware, software and network issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve computer system problems, including email, intranet, internet connectivity, printers and office devices.
  • Monitor and maintain agency networks, servers and Wi-Fi systems.
  • Ensure all devices are updated with the latest software and security patches.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions and passwords on all internal platforms.
  • Install, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, internet routers, printers, CCTV and other office equipment.
  • Ensure antivirus and security tools are functional and updated.
  • Keep an inventory of IT assets and track issuance and returns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT configurations, incidents and resolutions.
  • Prepare periodic IT performance and system health reports.
  • Update logs for repairs, purchases, and technical downtime.
  • Ensure data backup routines are running effectively.
  • Monitor and enforce cybersecurity best practices among staff.
  • Support the implementation of IT policies and SOPs.
  • Assist in onboarding new staff by setting up required systems and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1–3 years experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Experience supporting travel industry systems is an added advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of networking, hardware maintenance, and software installation.
  • Familiarity with cloud tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and documentation skills.

 

Salary: N150,000
